Obituary

William Austin Weaver, age 87, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at his residence. William was born the son of Robert L. Weaver and Evelyn (Simms) Weaver in Waverly, Missouri, on June 5, 1939.

William's professional life was as rich and varied as his personal one. He was a skilled book binder by trade and took great pride in his work. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish and own a delivery company and a Kansas City Star route in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was known for his reliability and dedication to his craft. In addition to his professional endeavors, William was passionate about his quaint Grand River Pecan Farm, where he applied his ingenuity to graft his own trees and develop equipment to aid in the harvest of pecans.

He is survived by his devoted daughter, Terri South, and her husband, Michael, of Parkville, Missouri. William was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren: Emili O'Brien, Jacob Finn, Angelique Weaver and Amanda Hunt, and the adoring great-grandfather to Evelyn O'Brien, Leah O'Brien, Destiny Weaver, Kristian Hunt, Zachary Hunt, Logan Hunt. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, William Mark Weaver; his brother, Donald Weaver; and his sister, Doris Ellis. Despite these profound losses, William's life was filled with joy and purpose, centered around his family and his passions.
William will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and in the community he so dearly loved.

A visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhome.com.
