Warren Neal Hoyt, age 84 and lifelong resident of Blue Mound, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at his home. He was born the son of John William "Bill" and Mary Ellen (Barnhart) Hoyt on Sunday, February 15, 1942, in Blue Mound, Missouri, Warren lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to his community and family. He was united in marriage to Debbie Coleman on September 23, 2009 in Blue Mound, Missouri. She survives of the home.

Warren was a proud graduate of Chillicothe High School and dedicated his professional life to farming and business. He was the owner of T&R Soil Service and worked at the MFA CO-OP in Chillicothe, Missouri. His commitment to agriculture and the land was evident in his work and his passion for farming. A veteran, Warren served in the Army National Guard, demonstrating his dedication to his country. He was also an active member of several community organizations, including the Blue Mound Cowboy Church, where he greeted congregants every Sunday with a warm smile. His leadership extended to serving as a board member of the Farmers Electric Cooperative for 40 years, being a member of the Chillicothe Elks #656, and caring for the Blue Mound Cemetery as a board member and caretaker.

Warren's love for life was evident in his many interests. He cherished traveling with his beloved Debbie, enjoyed side-by-side rides with his faithful dog Lizzie, and had a keen interest in hunting for artifacts and rattlesnakes. Warren found joy in building fences, spending time with his grandchildren, and was particularly proud of his tractors. His mornings were often spent with his coffee group, sharing stories and laughter.

Warren is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Debbie; his children, Savanna Bishop of Blue Mound, Missouri, Ben Bishop and wife Taylor of Bourbon, Missouri, Cassie Chepuri and husband Sumanth of Del Mar, California, and Jon Hoyt of Kansas City, Missouri. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Carson and Macie Bishop, Pierce, Sadie, Paisley, and Bennett Bishop, and Eliana and Kaila Chepuri. Warren is also survived by his sister, Jane Shipp and husband Arnold of St. Joseph, Missouri, and his mother-in-law, Alice Coleman of Potosi, Missouri, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William "Bill" Hoyt and Mary Ellen Hoyt; his son, Josh Bishop; his grandson, Benjamin Bishop; and his father-in-law, John Coleman.

Funeral services will be held at the Blue Mound Cowboy Church, Blue Mound, Missouri on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Blue Mound Cowboy Church on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. until service time of 11:00 a.m. The register book will be available to sign at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Blue Mound Cemetery, Blue Mound, Missouri.
