Thomas Darrell Huffman, age 76, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at his residence. He was born the son of Albert Lee and Virginia Dale (Wilburn) Huffman, on November 16, 1949, in Boonville, Missouri. Thomas was united in marriage to Linda Ogden on September 5, 1970, in Kansas City, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Thomas served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was an active member of the American Legion in Braymer, Missouri, where he formed lasting friendships and contributed to his community. Thomas was a dedicated mechanic, having honed his skills at a trade school for auto mechanics. His passion for working on anything with a motor, from cars to lawnmowers, was well-known and admired by all who knew him. Thomas had a deep love for horseback riding and was known for his kind and generous spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, a testament to his compassionate nature.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda; his loving daughter, Summer Malott, and her husband Kevin, of Richmond, Missouri; seven brothers, Dennis Huffman, Bruce Huffman, Jimmy Huffman, John Huffman (Jennifer), Garland Huffman (Michelle), Marlin Huffman (Ruth), and Earl Huffman; two sisters, Marsha Hendricks and Sharon Lee; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jodi Wells and Karen Nelson; and brother, Gary Huffman.
A visitation will be held at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer, MO, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, concluding with Military Honors at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Braymer American Legion and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
