Terry Merrill Bristow
Terry Merrill Bristow, age 75, a resident of Tina, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at his residence.
Terry was born the son of Tinsley Morris and Norma R. (Hubbell) Bristow on May 14, 1951 in Tina, Missouri. He was a 1969 graduate of Tina-Avalon High School and attended Trenton Junior College in Trenton, Missouri. Terry then enlisted into the Army National Guard, where he found his love for aircrafts as a helicopter pilot. He was united in marriage to Pamela Kay Haynes on June 28, 1970 at the Dawn Federated Church in Dawn, Missouri. She preceded him in death on August 2, 2012.
Terry was a lifelong farmer; he raised hogs, cattle and had row crops. Terry was a pilot for pleasure, having flown out of the Chillicothe airport many times. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards with friends and family. Terry’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Survivors include his son, Rob Bristow and wife, Aimee, of Fulton, Missouri; his daughter, Tina Jones and husband, Gabe, of Chillicothe, Missouri; four grandchildren, Austin Bristow, Trenton Bristow, Harlie (Lake) Crowe and Hallie Jones (Austin Minnis); and his great granddaughter, Livingston Crowe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pamela Kay Bristow; his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Charlotte Condron; and nephew, James Robert Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will also be held at Lindley Funeral Home on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Blue Mound Cemetery, Dawn, Missouri. Memorial contributions are to be made to Blue Mound Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri.
