Russell (Rusty) W. Richter, age 71, a resident of Wheeling, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his residence. He was born the son of Charles and Martha (Russell) Richter on October 7, 1954, in Trenton, Missouri.

Russell was a jack of all trades and worked mostly in construction. He was an owner/operator of a dump truck and spent several years hauling asphalt for road resurfacing in Kansas.

Russell enjoyed arrowhead hunting and was an avid antique collector. He was talented at woodworking and was an excellent cook. Russell was very knowledgeable and had a great love of music. He was unapologetically himself and lived life by his own set of rules.

He is survived by his daughter, Karma Richter; two grandchildren, Madison Enyeart and Anna Richter; one great grandchild, Althea Unger; his sister, Venita Kelley; one niece, Lisa Richter; two nephews, Shawn Kelley and Steve Kelley; and many great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Jack Richter; and niece, Kelly (Richter) Oden.
