Rodney Allen Crider, age 47, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Rodney was born the son of Maurice and Faye (Sipes) Crider on June 18, 1978, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1996 graduate of Chillicothe High School.
Rodney enjoyed dancing and playing softball. He was an avid Raiders fan.
Survivors include his father, Maurice of Illinois; his son, Donovan Crider, of St. Joseph, Missouri; cousins, Tina Cooper, Carla Gray, Gina Gray, Shelly Gray, Shonda Gray, Kevin Gray, Billie Sipes and Candy Sipes, all of Kansas City, Missouri; Donovan’s mother, Marli Anderson, of Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother; his brother, Sharon Crider; and one cousin, Andrea Wheels.
A cremation was held. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Rodney Crider Memorial Fund (please make checks payable to Donovan Crider) and may be left or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
