Mary Lou Ritchie, a cherished resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24th, 2026 at the age of 85. She was born the daughter of Henry Lee and Alice (Davis) Simpson on May 6, 1941, Chillicothe Missouri. Mary Lou lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to others.

Mary Lou was a devoted caretaker, known for her compassionate heart, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to caring for others. She was a woman full of life and her unconditional amount of mightiness. You always knew where you stood with Mary Lou, and her honest, strong-willed nature was one of the many things that made her so unforgettable. Above all, Mary Lou cherished her family. She loved spending time with them and especially treasured the moments she shared with her granddaughters, Briana and Joslyn. She was also a wonderful neighbor who brought her warmth, personality, and caring heart to those around her. Mary Lou had a special love for her little animals, who brought her endless joy and companionship, and most importantly, Nancie, who held an especially precious place in her heart. Mary Lou was not a quiet presence in this world. She was full of life, had a mighty spirit, and lived boldly. She had a voice that could fill a room, especially when music was involved, and she found great joy and comfort in singing and listening to music.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Terri Beets , and husband Terry of Dawn, Missouri; her son Aaron Anderson of Chillicothe, Missouri; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Mary Lou’s Legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through her family and the countless lives she touched. Mary Lou, was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lee Simpson and Alice L. Simpson; her son Randy Ritchie; her grandson, Jason Ritchie; her sister Shirley Nelson, and her brother Ronald Simpson.
Mary Lou will be remembered for her warmth, dedication to her family, and her one of a kind spirit. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A cremation was held.
