**Obituary for Laura L. Rupp**
Laura L. Rupp, a cherished resident of Kansas City, Kansas passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on Wednesday, March 28th, 1951, in Chillicothe, MO, Laura was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.
Laura was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bernard and Catherine Rupp; sister, Mary Catherine Robb, and her nephew, John Bernard Robb. She is survived by her sister, Martha Aldenderfer, Evansville, IN, brother in law David Robb, Tulsa,OK and nephew James Robb(Nicole Robb), Norman OK, neice Kathleen Stone(Scott) Edmond, OK , John Aldenderfer(Sarah) Evansville, IN, Anne Morgan(Jason) Newburgh,IN , Andy Aldenderfer Las Vegas, NV, great neice and nephews, John Robb, Kelsey Robb, Renee Robb, Samuel Stone and Elijah Stone, Mia and Leo Aldenderfer, Jacob Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Jared Morgan, Jordan Morgan Alivia Morgan and Alden Morgan and several cousins who will forever treasure her memory.
Laura spent her childhood in Chillicothe, Missouri, where she graduated high school from the last class to attend St. Joseph's Academy in 1969. Laura obtained her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from Avila College and spent her career caring for others. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kansas City, KS, where her warmth and dedication left a lasting impact on both colleagues and patients. Later, she extended her compassion by working as a case worker for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Company, tirelessly helping individuals secure necessary medical services. She also worked part time as a hospice nurse. Laura volunteered at the Little Sisters of the Poor nursing home.
Laura held her friendships in high regard, maintaining close connections with her nursing friends and enjoying their regular gatherings. Known for her thoughtfulness, she delighted in attending craft fairs, always on the lookout for the perfect gift for her loved ones. Her family was a central part of her life, and she ensured that she and her mother were present at all significant family events, from baptisms to birthdays. She enjoyed doting over her great- nieces and great -nephews. Laura also enjoyed shopping, reading and caring for her beloved cats, Smokey and Baxter.
A visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Parish in Kansas City, MO, on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, at 9:00 am, followed by a Rosary at 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 am, where family and friends are invited to celebrate Laura's life and bid her farewell.
Memorial contributions may be made in Laura's memory to the Little Sisters of the Poor or The American Red Cross, organizations that align with her lifelong commitment to helping others.
