Keith Doolin Lee, age 96, of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on October 1, 2026, at Morningside Center in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Keith was born on June 21st, 1930, in Kidder, Missouri, the son of Ross and Vida (Smith) Lee. He attended Wooderson Grade School, located between Hamilton and Gallatin, until 1939, when he moved with his parents to Tina, Missouri. Keith graduated From Tina High School in 1948.

On August 12, 1950, he was united in marriage to Alice Sue Baker. She survives of the home. Together they built a home for 76 years. They farmed between Tina and Bosworth where they raised three sons. Keith farmed and worked for Ray-Carroll. Keith was a good steward of the land. He loved farming, loved the animals and loved watching things grow. But as much as he loved these things, he loved his family most of all. He taught us boys the importance and value of hard work and steadfastness.

Keith was a hard worker. After retiring and moving to Carrollton, he worked summers for the city park department mowing the parks until he was in his early 90's. Keith always had a garden until later years, but always had beautiful flowers growing in pots around their home.

Keith is survived by his wife, Alice Sue Lee and three sons; Darrell Lee and wife, Cynthia, of Alliance, Ohio, Robert Lee and wife, Heather, of Midland, Texas, and Mark Lee of Chillicothe, Missouri; four grandchildren, Michelle Anderson and husband, Bobby, of Gilbert, AZ, Jessica Forgy and husband, Guy, of Alvin, TX, Nathan Lee and wife, Alyssa, of Dallas, TX, and Christopher Lee and wife, Karen, of Cumming, GA. Keith is also blessed with 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephew, cousins, and a host of extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

Keith was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth Eugene Lee; his parents; one brother, Lavonne Lee and his wife Melba Dean; sister Rose Mary Kesler and her husband Carl; and sister Audrey Condron and her husband Walter.

Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Friends may sign the register book at Lindley Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Van Horn Cemetery, Tina, Missouri.
