**Obituary for Kathy Sorenson**
Kathy Sorenson, age 75, a beloved member of Braymer, Missouri , passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, at the age of 75 at Liberty Hospital. Born on Friday, May 4th, 1951, in Mendon, Nebraska, Kathy was a kind-hearted and devoted homemaker who touched the lives of many throughout her 52 years in this fulfilling role.
Kathy was a 1968 graduate of Upland High School in Upland, Nebraska, where she cultivated friendships that would last a lifetime. She dedicated her life to her family and home, creating a nurturing environment filled with love and warmth. Nothing warmed her heart more than playing with her great grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Eugene Raber and JoAnne (Schroeder) Raber, one son Bo James Tanner Hall, and her sister, Kim Schuyler. She was the cherished life partner of Frank Wardlow, with whom she shared over five decades of love and companionship after the passing of their respective spouses. He survives if the home. Together, they built a wonderful life in Missouri, always supporting one another through life’s joys and challenges.
Survivors include two sons, Casey Sorensen of Polo , Missouri and Sam Wardlow of Braymer, Missouri and one daughter, Billie Ward (Ron) of Braymer, Missouri; by her brother, Jeff Raber, of Mendon, Nebraska, and her sister, Sharon Bullock, of Hutchinson, Kansas. Kathy’s legacy continues through her five beloved grandchildren: Brandon Sorensen (Shyanna) of Polo, MO; Kassi Vaughn (Tim) of Tonganoxie, Kansas; Dakota Ireland of Chillicothe, Missouri; Kameron Ward of California; and Kyle Ellis of Independence, MO. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Matthew, Tymberlynn, and Lilly, who brought immense joy to her later years.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the
