Dawn

Joshua Dale Bishop, age 43, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Puerto Morelos, Mexico.
Joshua was born the son of Dale Bishop and Debbie (Coleman) on March 2, 1982, in Washington, Missouri. He was a 2000 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Joshua was united in marriage to Savanna Searcy on October 13, 2012, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home.
Joshua was a devoted family man, outdoorsman, and respected business owner. A faithful member of the Blue Mound Cowboy Church, Josh’s life was a testament to his love for God and his community. As the owner and operator of J.D. Bishop Construction Company and Blue Mound Quarry, Josh was a leader who led with his heart. He didn't just manage a crew; he treated every employee as a member of his own family, earning the respect and friendship of everyone he met. Josh had a passion for the outdoors which led him to serve as a forest ranger in Montana, an experience he carried with him throughout his life. An avid hunter and camper, Josh found his greatest peace in nature. He especially cherished the simple joy of taking "ranger rides" with Savanna and his dog, Isabella.
Above all, Josh was an honorable man who loved traveling and spending time with his family. His warmth and friendship knew no boundaries.
Survivors include his wife, Savanna; two children, Joshua Carson Bishop and Macie Bishop of the home; his father, Dale Bishop; his mother, Debbie Hoyt (Warren Hoyt); one brother, Benjamin Bishop (Taylor) of Bourbon, Missouri; one sister, Cassie Bishop (Sumanth Chepuri) of San Diego, California; one step-brother, Jon Hoyt of Kansas City, Missouri; his maternal grandmother, Alice Coleman of Potosi, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Jeremy Searcy (Tabby) of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Jaimie Francis (John) of Blue Springs, Missouri and Melissa Ficken (Spencer) of Chillicothe, Missouri; mother-in-law, Karren Searcy of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
