Jerry and Margaret Phillips

Jerry Joe Phillips, 81, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at his home in Bella Vista. He was born on May 10, 1928 in Chillicothe, Missouri to Clifford Phillips and Ida Mae Kincaid Phillips.

A native of Chillicothe, Missouri, Jerry served with the 9812th Technical Service Unit, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A graduate of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, his work career included teaching woodworking and drafting and working in industry He worked as a Production Manager and Plant Manager for 25 years with the Fruehauf Trailer Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jackie Pickford; and brother, Don.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret of Bella Vista; son, Steve Phillips of Lake Winnebago, Missouri; brothers Dale and Bob; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.
