Janice Sue Young, age 78, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at her residence.
Janice was born on August 28, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. On June 6, 1965, she was united in marriage to Fredrick Andrew Young at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2024.
Janice was a member of the St. Columban Catholic Church. She was a farm wife who enjoyed milking their dairy cows. Janice loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include one son, Jeff Young and wife Melissa of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandsons, Connor Young (Devan) of South Abington Township, Pennsylvania, Clayton Young (Sam) of St. Louis, Missouri and Max Anderson of Chillicothe, Missouri; two granddaughters, Madeline Holliman of Kansas City, Missouri and Carley Lomica (Austin) of Des Moines, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Mason Young, Violet Young, Hendrix Holliman and Jameson Lomica. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred.
Funeral Services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 12:00 noon until service time of 1:00 p.m. Friends may sign the register book on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O.
