H. Edward Wendt

H. Edward Wendt, age 88, a resident of Vandalia, Missouri, passed away on June 9, 2025, at Heritage Hall, Centralia, Missouri.
Edward was born on March 31, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Henry and Mayme (Brown) Wendt. He was a graduate of Benton High School. He was united in marriage to Delma Dolores Britton on August 1, 1980 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2022.
Edward was a self-employed farmer most of his life. He also worked as maintenance at the Our Lady of Mercy County Home.
He is survived by two daughters, Jean Clark (Rick) of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Rhonda Remley (Mike) of Laddonia, Missouri; one son, James Deardeuff (Robin) of Cataula, Georgia; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Delma Dolores; one son, Galen Deardeuff; one grandson, Jared Deardeuff; and one sister, Mary Ellen Wendt.
Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 24, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhomes.com.
