Evelyn Jane Baker

Evelyn Jane Baker, age 91, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Evelyn was born the daughter of Harry and Josie (Loper) McMullin on December 26, 1933, in Russell, Kansas. On August 6, 1955, Evelyn was united in marriage to Raymond Derrell Baker. To this union two children were born, Reve’ and Bruce.
Evelyn was a member of the Leaton Homemakers Club. She was a 4-H leader and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and flower gardening. She was an avid fan of the Royals and the Chiefs. Evelyn also helped out on the family farm.
She is survived by her daughter Reve’ Coleman (Frank), Warsaw, Missouri; son Bruce Baker (Cheri), Chillicothe, Missouri; grandchildren Amber Sharon (Josh), Bucky Coleman (Erica), and Ashley Baker (Sara); great-grandchildren Averi, Kolby, Will, Evie, Jakson and Trinity; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Derrell; brother, Gene McMullin and wife, Mary Jo; brother-in-law, Kenny Baker and wife, Stella; and sister-in-law, Dylis Hensley and husband, Wayne.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Hale Methodist Church, Hale, Missouri, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a scheduled visitation one hour before service at 10:00 a.m. at the Hale Methodist Church, Hale, Missouri. Burial will follow at the Cameron Cemetery, Hale, Missouri.
