Elaine Le Nore Honeck, age 102, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, and former resident of Mason City, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at StoneBridge Senior Living, Chillicothe, Missouri. Elaine lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Elaine was born the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Nielsen) Koberg, on July 1, 1924, in Lincoln, Iowa. She was a 1942 graduate of Thornton High School in Thornton, Iowa. Elaine was united in marriage to Robert Honeck, on June 18, 1949, in Hampton, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1994.

Elaine was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mason City, Iowa. She was employed as a repair clerk for North Western Bell Company, in Mason City, for 38 years. Upon retiring from there, she worked another 22 years at Lundberg’s Clothing Store in Mason City. She did not know how to slow down. Elaine enjoyed reading and crocheting. She also enjoyed traveling and she traveled often.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Burton and husband, Leon of Chillicothe, Missouri; her granddaughter, Sara Eller (David) of Chillicothe, Missouri; five greatgrandchildren, Madison Eller, Bridgett Eller, Myriam Burton, Logan Burton and Porter Burton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and a grandson, Mark Burton.

Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Elmwood-St. Joseph Municipal Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa on Monday, August 10, 2026.
