Daylon Jacob Paup
Daylon came into this world April 18, 2000, to Jessica (Alverson) Paup and Marvin Paup in Mexico, Missouri, and practically had handlebars in his hands as he burst forth into the world. Legend has it, Daylon rode a full circle around the delivery room before he settled down enough to cry for the first time.
Daylon departed us on February 19, 2022, within his home in Hale Missouri. Daylon dealt with the ups and the downs that life brings us all but, as he'd likely tell you, anything is possible in this world and the downs died when he did so, if it were a competition to be won, it was technically a tie.
Daylon loved riding anything with wheels and was a competition BMX racer in Arizona during his younger years, where he won many trophies, medals, and awards and left the competition spitting up dust and the neighborhood in awe when he would hit tricks high in the air.
Daylon often enjoyed challenging himself and others. He regretted absolutely nothing and took life head on, no matter the circumstance, and will be remembered as a carefree, fun-loving soul.
Daylon is joined in the afterlife with his grandmothers: Vicki Maxwell and Carol Alverson, and Great Grandfather Steed.
Daylon is survived by his parents: Jessica Paup and Marvin Paup, Brothers: Allen Laycock Jr. (AJ) and Matthew Bradley, Grandmother: Karen Stephens, Grandfathers: James Alverson, James Maxwell, and Leonard Paup, Aunt: Alicia Hershberger, Uncles: Jeremy Udstrand, James Hershberger, Justin Paup, Darin Paup, James Alverson II, and many cousins.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Daylon Paup Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Online condolences may be made at
