David Lee McGrew, age 45, a resident of Marshall, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
David was born the son of David Allen McGrew and Patricia Kaye (Malyuk) Mulanax on July 16, 1980, in Carrollton, Missouri. He was a 2000 graduate of Marshall High School. He worked as a tire and lube tech at Walmart in Marshall for almost 25 years. David enjoyed watching the church service broadcast from First Assembly of Raytown. He enjoyed fishing, Legos, Hot Wheels, drawing, music, skateboarding, and his kids. He was an active member in the car community and loved classic cars, and owned a 1995 Chevy C-1500 Lowrider.
Survivors include two sons, Dylan Madrid (Echo), and Caden McGrew both of Marshall, Missouri; one daughter, Courtney Smith (Bryant) of Marshall, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kaylee and Tilian Madrid and Braxton, Braiden, and Novalee Smith all of Marshall, Missouri; his mother, Patricia Kaye Mulanax of Marshall, Missouri; and his significant other, Jessica Reynolds of the home. David is also survived by one brother, James Collins of Oklahoma; three sisters, Amber McGrew (Jason Cooper) of Lincoln, Missouri, Tera Fisher of Moberly, Missouri, and Ashley Adams (Taylor) of Slater, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father; infant son, Morgan Lee; sister, Carolyn Simpson; nephew, Justin Bradley Simpson; grandfather, Teddy McGrew; and his grandmother, Betty Staton.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12 noon. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home on Friday, October 24, 2025, one hour prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon.
