Charlotte L. Blakely, age 70, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at her residence.
Charlotte was born the daughter of William and Martha (Swearingin) Britt on September 17, 1955 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Ralph Blakely on September 12, 2009. He survives of the home.
Charlotte was very active in Recovery Chillicothe MO, that she and Ralph started 13 years ago, serving Chillicothe and the surrounding area. She was a member of the Chillicothe Garden Club and had served as President for two years. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, and taking care of all her different plants. She enjoyed a challenge of getting a new plant to bloom.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph; her daughter, Martha Oliver; two step-daughters, Amy Daniel (David) and Renee Girres (Doug); several grandchildren including, James Fainter III, Breanna Crawford, and Julie Fainter; several great grandchildren including, Jeremiah Fainter and James Fainter IV; her brother, Jerry Newton (Laretta); and her sister, Ester Britt. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Donna Newton.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The registry book will be available for signing at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
