Obituary

Bryce Michael Gott, age 28, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Missouri.

Bryce was born on July 6, 1998, in Sedalia, Missouri, to Noel Lee and Ellen Leann (Gray) Gott. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 2016 and was a full-time student at North Central Missouri College, where he was pursuing his dream of becoming a teacher and coach. He also worked as an electrician alongside his brother for Gott Electric in Chillicothe.

Bryce was a member of First Baptist Church in Chillicothe and Quail Forever. He had a deep love for Jesus, the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all sports. An avid outdoorsman, Bryce also had a special place in his heart for animals of all kinds.

Above all else, Bryce loved his family as it says on his forearm. The time he spent with those he loved meant more to him than anything. Whether enjoying the outdoors, sharing time together, or simply being with family, those moments were what mattered most. Bryce’s love for his family and all little ones were at the heart of who he was, and the memories made with him will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.

Bryce had a huge heart. He loved to visit and could chat for hours about his current interests. Chatting with his customers was his favorite part of his job.

Bryce is survived by his parents, Noel and Ellen Gott, of the home; his brother, Brock Gott, and fiancée, Peyton Diggs, of Chillicothe, Missouri; his maternal grandparents, Sam and Karen Gray, of Laredo, Missouri; his longtime significant other, Braelyn Berndt, of Mercer, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob Gott and Carolyn Gott; his paternal step-grandmother, Mary Gott; and his aunt, Cindy Gott.

Bryce will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His love for his family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the memories he leaves behind will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The visitor register will be available to sign at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Galt Cemetery West, Galt, Missouri.
