Betty Lou Johnson, age 94, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri.
Betty was born the daughter of Floyd and Emma (Mason) Stratton on August 21, 1931, in Stet, Missouri. She was a 1949 graduate of Braymer C-4 High School. Betty was united in marriage to Walter Lyle Johnson on May 31, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1993. Betty worked as a bus driver for the Braymer C-4 School District for many years. She also worked at Lambert Glove Factory in Chillicothe, as well as the candy factory in Richmond, Missouri. She was a member of the Braymer Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed reading, crocheting, and collecting roosters.
Betty is survived by one son, Tom Johnson of Braymer, Missouri; two daughters, Sandra Oyler and Joyce Null both of Braymer, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Brandi Sun, Michael Null, Sherri Cox, Jill Distler, Kristin Rader, Meagan Jones, Jared Johnson, Steven Johnson, Hayley Clevenger, Emmalee Johnson, Lacey Johnson, and Jeremiah Johnson; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; son, Jerry Johnson; daughter, Terri Johnson; three brothers, Roy, Floyd, and Bud Stratton; and two sisters, Ruth McElwee, and Katherine Milligan.
