Barbara Gates, age 73, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, a former resident of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Luke’s East Hospital, Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Barbara was born the daughter of Earl and Naomi (Jones) Keedy on January 31, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan. She worked as a horse trainer for Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, for many years. Barbara had a strong love of horse racing.
Survivors include two sons, Garnett Morrison of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and William Morrison of Belton, Texas; and one brother, Kenneth Keedy of Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Darlene Wells and Brenda Dayton.
