Anna Mae Boorn

Anna Mae Boorn, age 94, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe Missouri.

Anna Mae was born the daughter of William and Edna Marie (Lamp) Odom in Chillicothe, Missouri, on December 13, 1930. She was united in marriage to Harold Boorn on September 2, 1978, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2004.

Anna Mae attended Highview Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. In her early years, she traveled and worked as a waitress; in her later years, she worked as a charge nurse. She valued family and was a dedicated caregiver to everyone she met; there was never an empty belly in Anna Mae’s house. She enjoyed cooking, playing card games, dancing and listening to country and gospel music.

Survivors include her grandson, David Gash and wife, Leslie, of Princeton, Indiana; five great-grandchildren, Kevin Carter, Carrie Gash, Courtney Gash, Bobby Gash, and Harley Gash; six great-great-grandchildren, Anna Carter, Aubriee Gash, Amelia George, Alexander George, Aria George, and Gabriel Schultheis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harold Boorn and William Goll; one son, Earl DeWayne Gash; one granddaughter, Vicki Gash; and two sisters, Daisy Gash and Rose Whitt.

Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Laclede Cemetery, Laclede, Missouri.
