Aline T. Moffatt

Aline T. Moffatt, age 94, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
Aline was born the daughter of Henry and Margaret (McLean) Rawlings on January 15, 1930, in Memphis, Tennessee. Aline was a graduate of Miller-Hawkins Business College in Memphis, Tennessee. She worked as a secretary for Allis Chalmers, where she met her future husband, Ralph Moffatt. They were married on May 9, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee, and were married for 63 years. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2016.
In 1972, Ralph and Aline moved to Chillicothe, Missouri, from Arlington, Texas. She then worked for Hamner Jewelry which later became Lauhoff Jewelry Store. Aline was a member of St. Columban Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Ann’s Alter Society, RSVP and P.E.O. She loved her 4-B’s, Bridge, Bingo, Bunko and Bowling. Aline’s greatest accomplishment was her family, which she was very proud of and enjoyed spending time with as well as her numerous friends.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Moffatt and wife LeeAnn of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Larry Moffatt of Waukee, Iowa; two daughters, Linda Riley and husband Ray of Waskom, Texas, and Margaret Burson and husband Scott of Kansas City, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, Ryan Moffatt and wife Christina of Norwalk, Iowa, Casey Narramore of Longview, Texas, Megan Rhodes and husband Kyle of Greenwood, Indiana, Kara Alexander and husband Josh of Linneus, Missouri, Sean Narramore and wife Kelsey of Troup, Texas, Jessica Burson of San Diego, California, Cory Moffatt and fiancé Becca Holmes of Republic, Missouri, Heather Childs of Marshall, Texas, Shawna Burson of Washington D.C., Amy Moffatt and fiancé David Rodriquez of Long Beach, California, Aaron Burson of Kansas City, Missouri; AJ Riley and wife Melody of Seguin, Texas, and Tony Riley and wife Ashley of Waskom, Texas; and twenty-one great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Rawlings and wife Pat Powers of Long Beach, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; sister, Betty Howard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. with visitation to follow from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Altar Society and/or Bishop Hogan Memorial School and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
